Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.30% — somewhat different

The A/DA MP-1 is a 1U rack-mount guitar preamp released in 1987 combining full analog tube circuitry with digital MIDI control. It features 12AX7 tubes, three channels including solid-state clean, tube clean, and tube distortion, 128 MIDI-programmable presets, a built-in stereo chorus, and its signature blue vinyl casing with red LCD. Voiced with a Marshall-like midrange emphasis and heavy saturation it defined the recorded guitar sound of 1980s hard rock and metal albums. Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, Skid Row, and White Lion used it on defining records of the era.
The Electro-Harmonix Tone Tattoo is a multi-effect pedalboard-in-a-box from Electro-Harmonix, combining three EHX effects in a single unit: Metal Muff high-gain distortion, Neo Clone analog chorus, and Nano Holy Grail spring reverb. Each effect section has its own controls (Metal Muff: Distortion, Tone stack; Neo Clone: Rate; Holy Grail: Reverb) and can be independently engaged. A pedalboard-friendly multi-effect for players who want the three effects in one unit.
