The Electronic Audio Experiments Longsword V4.5 is an op-amp-based cascaded-gain overdrive spanning clean boost through wall-of-sound distortion, with shelving Bass and Treble controls plus a sweepable active Mid EQ, built with a broad frequency response suited to guitar, baritone guitar, and bass. The V4.5 hardware revision introduced a new enclosure and mechanical format, added over-voltage and ESD protection circuitry, and shifted the Low/High crossover point by roughly 500Hz to reduce interactivity between the EQ controls, representing the current mainline version of the pedal.
