Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.46% — somewhat different

The Aguilar DB925 is an all-discrete FET external bass preamp pedal succeeding the DB924, featuring a 2-band boost EQ at 40Hz for bass and 4kHz for treble each up to 18dB in a micro-pedal form factor with a bypass footswitch. The broadband boost curves add body, weight, and treble shimmer to passive bass signals without imposing a strong tonal character. Designed as an always-on passive bass enhancer for live and studio use, it operates at instrument level without XLR output. Appears discontinued as of late 2025.
The Sadowsky SBP-1 is a bass preamp and DI pedal from Sadowsky Guitars (New York City), built by Roger Sadowsky to deliver the signature Sadowsky active preamp circuit in a floor pedal for passive bass guitars. The SBP-1 applies bass and treble boost from the famous Sadowsky active bass preamp to any passive bass, adding the refined NYC studio tone and full, punchy response that defines the Sadowsky bass sound.
