Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Alexander Pedals Radical Delay is a six-mode digital delay blending 1980s clean digital tone with modern modulation and glitch processing. Modes include MOD (modulated delay with chorus or vibrato on repeats), BEND (pitch-spiraling echoes), DUAL (dual-tap delay lines), REV (reverse delay), ARP (chiptune arpeggiator delay), and DYNA (dynamics-reactive delay). Maximum delay time ranges from 680ms to over 5000ms controlled by the CLOCK knob, which also shifts bandwidth from 16kHz down to 1kHz for lo-fi textures. Four onboard presets expand to 16 via MIDI. Neo Morph enables real-time seamless transitions between stored parameter positions.

The Universal Audio UAFX Starlight Echo Station is a delay pedal offering three distinct voicings: a Tape EP-III mode emulating the Echoplex EP-3 tape delay with adjustable wow, flutter, and noise that can be driven into saturation for fat, modulated repeats; an Analog DMM mode recreating late-1970s and early-1980s bucket-brigade analog delay character with extended delay times up to a full second for a lush, gritty, vibey sound; and a Precision digital mode delivering clean, crystal-clear repeats with extensive modulation options layered on top. Six hands-on controls and dual footswitches give real-time control over all three engines. It suits players who love the weird, warped character of vintage pre-digital delay units as much as pristine modern digital echo.
