Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Alexander Pedals SpaceXpander is a discontinued three-mode digital reverb from Alexander's early catalog with a silent footswitch and buffered bypass with optional trails mode. Three modes: SPRING (adjustable tone and virtual tank size), PLATE (with pre-delay and damping producing tails up to 25 seconds), and ANALOG (emulating the Panasonic MN3011 six-tap multi-tap BBD chip to produce an unusual rhythmically percussive reverb character). The Space knob on Analog mode slides from reverb-length to delay-length tails. Available only used.

The Electro-Harmonix Oceans 11 is a versatile reverb pedal offering eleven distinct reverb modes in a compact enclosure, Hall, Spring, Plate, Reverse, Echo, Tremolo reverb, Modulated, Auto Infinite, Shimmer and Polyphonic among them, each with up to three operational sub modes. From classic grand hall and warm plate to Fender style spring, reverse swells, octave shimmer and pitch shifted polyphonic washes, it covers a huge range of ambience. Simple controls and an infinite hold footswitch option make it both easy and deep. It suits players across surf, rock, ambient, indie and worship who want a single, affordable reverb that spans natural spaces, vintage spring and lush experimental textures.
