The Alexander Pedals SpaceXpander and the Fjord Fuzz Mime are both pedals sharing spring, analog warmth. The Alexander Pedals SpaceXpander leans ambient.

Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Alexander Pedals SpaceXpander is a discontinued three-mode digital reverb from Alexander's early catalog with a silent footswitch and buffered bypass with optional trails mode. Three modes: SPRING (adjustable tone and virtual tank size), PLATE (with pre-delay and damping producing tails up to 25 seconds), and ANALOG (emulating the Panasonic MN3011 six-tap multi-tap BBD chip to produce an unusual rhythmically percussive reverb character). The Space knob on Analog mode slides from reverb-length to delay-length tails. Available only used.

The Fjord Fuzz MIME is a dual-mode reverb pedal from Fjord Fuzz, the Norwegian boutique pedal builder, developed in collaboration with an AI. Two reverb characters — RED mode and BLUE mode — inhabit a single pedal. RED mode delivers a dark, warm, cozy reverb tail with dynamic sensitivity. BLUE mode provides a brighter, metallic, plate-like reverb particularly effective with clean or less distorted guitar signals. Analogue circuit with mix and feedback controls provides basic but expressive playback.
