Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Amplified Nation Bombshell Overdrive 100W Head is the builder's interpretation of the Dumble Overdrive Special, built around three preamp tubes and two channels with preamp boost available on both. Four 6L6 output tubes give it the large, dimensional clean platform the D-style circuit is known for, staying articulate and punchy at stage volume, while the overdrive channel produces the singing, sustaining lead voice with strong harmonic content that the original design is prized for. Having boost on both channels rather than only the lead side means the clean channel can be pushed into edge-of-breakup without switching. It is strongly touch sensitive, responding to pick attack and guitar volume, and suits blues, fusion and rock players who want an authentic D-style overdrive with full stage headroom.

The Ceriatone Overtone Special HRM Bluesmaster 100 is the 100-watt version of Ceriatone's hand-wired Dumble Overdrive Special clone, built with the His Royal Majesty midrange tone stack and the Bluesmaster voicing. The extra power gives a very large, three-dimensional clean channel that stays articulate at high stage volume, while the HRM overdrive produces a forward, vocal midrange with long, singing sustain and strong harmonic detail. Like the rest of the Overtone Special family it is point-to-point wired and highly responsive to pick attack and guitar volume, cleaning up as the guitar is rolled back. Its scale suits players working at band and stage volume, particularly blues, soul and fusion lead work where clean headroom matters alongside the lead voice.
