The Amptweaker Tight Rock 2 is the second-generation version of the TightRock rock distortion pedal designed by James Brown. It bridges the gap between the lighter TightDrive and the heavier TightMetal, delivering gain levels suitable for hard rock and classic heavy metal without reaching modern extreme-gain territory. A Tight control shapes pick attack from smooth and thick to aggressive, while an EQ switch enables PlexEQ mode for classic vintage Marshall stack tones with a slightly scooped midrange and characteristic low-end. A built-in noise gate controls high-gain hum.
The Revv Northern Mauler, developed with metal engineer Glenn Fricker, packs two entirely separate analog gain circuits with a Blend knob to move between them. One side is an all-new Revv high-gain amp voice with a percussive, amp-in-a-box feel and 3-band EQ, distinct from the G3 or G4; the other is a tribute to the Boss HM-2's grimy, chaotic Swedish chainsaw tone that defined death metal's most aggressive scene. Blended together, the chainsaw side adds cut, character, and memorable edge to the traditional high-gain Amp circuit, functioning as a melodeath-in-a-box at full chainsaw mix or a more traditional metal and punk voice with the Amp circuit alone.
