Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Artec SE-FLG Vintage Flanger is a BBD-based analog flanger pedal from South Korean manufacturer Artec. The bucket-brigade device circuit delivers a clean deep flanging effect with vintage character. DC 9V, 14mA consumption, 3.7W x 4.7L x 1.32H inches (94.2 x 120.46 x 33.67mm), 0.79 lb. Direct bypass mode. Stone-finished aluminum alloy enclosure. Part of the Artec SE budget series offering analog circuit designs across a range of effect types at entry-level prices.

The Spaceman Aurora is an analog BBD flanger built around a 256-stage MN3009 delay chip for maximum delay-path headroom, offering a 5-mode modulation bus combining two LFO types, two tape-emulation modes, and a static comb filtering option. A dedicated 100% wet/dry Mix control and true-bypass relay switching with a soft-touch footswitch round out the feature set, delivering everything from classic flange and lush chorus to phase and filtery spatial textures with unusually deep waveform customization. This Custom (red) colorway is a hand-wired, Portland-built finish option on the Aurora's Standard Edition hardware.
