Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Audiocade 1974 Colorsound Tremolo Clone is a handcrafted recreation of the vintage Colorsound Tremolo pedal originally built by Sola Sound London in the early 1970s, designed to reproduce the soft throbbing organic tremolo character of a Vox AC30 tube amplifier onboard tremolo circuit. The original Colorsound circuit used four transistors and was prized for its soft wave decay and musical throb rather than the choppy square-wave character of American-style amp tremolo circuits. The result is a rich vintage tremolo with natural undulation that complements clean and lightly overdriven guitar tones. Joe Bonamassa and Phil Manzanera are among the players associated with the original Colorsound Tremolo circuit this pedal replicates.

The Boffin FX Vibratron is an analog vibrato and tremolo pedal offering a range of pulsing and pitch-modulating effects from slow, violin-like warble to fast rhythmic tremolo chop. Controls include Rate for speed and Depth for intensity. Features true bypass and a red LED indicator for effect-on status. Powered by a standard 9V DC, 2.1mm center-negative supply. Suited to vintage rock, surf, country, and atmospheric indie styles where organic modulation is preferred.
