The original Colorsound circuit used four transistors and was prized for its soft wave decay and musical throb rather than the choppy square-wave character of American-style amp tremolo circuits. The result is a rich vintage tremolo with natural undulation that complements clean and lightly overdriven guitar tones. Joe Bonamassa and Phil Manzanera are among the players associated with the original Colorsound Tremolo circuit this pedal replicates.
