Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.55% — moderately similar

Citation/mention fame — how often this gear is cited across artist rigs and gear discussion. The AZOR AP-305 is a super-mini format true bypass optical compressor for electric guitar and bass manufactured by Caline under the AZOR brand. Three controls — Level, EQ, and Comp — cover output volume, tone compensation, and compression intensity in a compact enclosure. The optical circuit produces smooth gentle dynamics leveling with classic optical attack and decay characteristics. Transparent character at moderate Comp settings preserves pick transients while leveling string-to-string volume differences. Street price under 30 USD. Suitable for country, blues, funk, and any context requiring subtle dynamics control and enhanced sustain.
The Greer Amps Lamplighter is an optical compressor pedal from US boutique manufacturer Greer Amps (Athens, Georgia), delivering smooth, transparent optical compression with Level, Compress (sensitivity), and a Voicing switch for different compression characters. The Lamplighter uses an optical LDR compression circuit for natural, musical compression suited for clean playing, single-note passages, and dynamic control. Greer Amps handmade US boutique construction.
