Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.40% — somewhat different

The Beetronics OctaHive is a fuzz with an added octave above the played note, continuing the lineage that began with the Octavia Roger Mayer built for Jimi Hendrix. This Dual FS version replaces the octave toggle switch found on the standard model with a second footswitch, so the octave can be brought in and out mid-performance rather than being set before playing — a change Beetronics made only for the custom editions. The octave effect blooms most strongly on the neck pickup high up the fretboard, thinning out lower down, which is characteristic of the circuit. It suits psychedelic, blues and experimental players who want octave fuzz they can switch live.
The Wampler Fuzztration is a premium octave fuzz pedal from Wampler Pedals delivering thick, harmonically rich fuzz with integrated upper octave enhancement in Wampler's premium build quality.
