The Beetronics Royal Jelly is a boutique overdrive and fuzz blender, the first pedal to mix overdrive and fuzz in a continuously variable way. Two independent channels, labeled Queen and King, each sweep a continuum from overdrive to fuzz, acting like two presets that the player blends with the King and Queen knobs to taste. The overdrive side is excellent, taking well to single coils and humbuckers and pulling extra snarl from Filter'Tron pickups, while the fuzz side is fat and sustaining with an edge, and a Buzz switch adds gnarlier, edgier 1960s fuzzbox top-end and harmonics. A Dry knob mixes in clean signal for added articulation, making it useful on bass and synth too, and powerful Hi and Lo EQ knobs offer 10dB of cut or boost. It suits rock, experimental, and adventurous players wanting a versatile, blendable dirt pedal with strong character.
The Boss DS-1W Waza Craft is the premium version of the legendary Boss DS-1 distortion, featuring hand-selected components and a Custom mode that adds 6dB of output, tightens the low end, and focuses the midrange for a more aggressive and defined sound. Standard mode retains the classic DS-1 sharp attack and smooth, saturated sustain. Custom mode eliminates the fizz that some players find limiting in the standard DS-1 at high gain settings. Made in Japan as part of the Waza Craft premium component series.
