Description

The Beetronics Whoctahell Custom Cubo Magico is a custom shop Whoctahell with the Cubo Magico hand-painted finish, named after the magic cube. The Whoctahell is a low octave fuzz with independent fuzz and octave controls producing 8-bit synth-like low octave textures combined with fuzz. The Cubo Magico geometric artwork is one of several custom finishes in the Whoctahell custom shop series. Circuit performance is identical to the standard Whoctahell. Suited for psychedelic rock, experimental, and synth-bass fuzz applications.

The Beetronics WhoctaHell is a low-octave fuzz pedal combining bass octave synthesis and overdrive/fuzz, handmade in California. The Whocta knob sets the volume of the down-octave section while the Hell knob controls the fuzz and overdrive volume. A toggle switch selects between one octave down and two octaves down. A side-mounted Master Volume controls overall output. The resulting sound is an 8-bit synth-style lower-octave fuzz blending the two voices for sounds ranging from mild crunchy overdrive to aggressive sub-octave saturation. Custom steel enclosure with true bypass, Neutrik jacks. Reviewed by Guitar World and MusicRadar for killer old-school octave fuzz tones.
