Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Benson Amps Stonk Box is a germanium MK1 Fuzz with an automatic thermal bias system that keeps the germanium transistors (2N404 or 2N527) at a consistent operating temperature using analog warmers, eliminating the temperature sensitivity of vintage germanium fuzz. Derived from the very first fuzz circuit ever made, it retains the original Filter and Volume controls and adds Tone and Trim for an expanded palette. The Filter control manipulates both gain and bias point simultaneously, creating a dynamic expander effect at low settings. Buffer and pedal-order agnostic. Handmade by Benson Amps in Portland, Oregon. Regarded as a breakthrough in temperature-stable vintage germanium fuzz design.

The Mission Engineering Delta III Silicon Fuzz is a silicon transistor fuzz pedal from Mission Engineering's Delta III series, delivering the bright, cutting, temperature-consistent character of silicon fuzz transistors with Mission Engineering's premium boutique construction quality. The silicon circuit provides reliable, consistent fuzz performance across temperature ranges.
