The Black Arts Toneworks Crown of Horns is a high-gain fuzz based on an OpAmp Big Muff circuit with a custom hybrid tone section that sits tonally between the Pharaoh mid-forward voicing and the LSTR scooped character. A Horns switch bypasses the tone stack entirely, producing a flat, unfiltered wall of fuzz and volume that is highly interactive with amp settings. Designed for heavy psych, doom, and stoner rock where high-gain fuzz with flexible tonal shaping is the goal. Made by Black Arts Toneworks.
The EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas is a fuzz sustainer pedal developed in collaboration with Wata of the Japanese heavy psych and drone metal band Boris, voiced around her personalized fuzz rig. Inspired loosely by the Ram's Head Big Muff circuit, it delivers a massive, harmonically dense fuzz sustain with a pronounced low midrange presence and enormous volume ceiling. A three-position toggle selects three distinct EQ voices ranging from scooped to mid-forward. Associated with heavy psych, drone metal, noise rock, and shoegaze, it has become one of EarthQuaker Devices' flagship fuzz pedals.
