The Boss Katana Generation 3 (Gen 3) is the third major revision of Boss's flagship Katana modeling guitar amplifier series, delivering noticeably more open and dynamic amp character compared to the MkII. Tube Logic modeling informs the five core amp characters — Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brown, and Acoustic — each with a Variation mode. The Gen 3 update improves tonal authenticity with more natural dynamic response, making it harder to distinguish from real tube amps than the MkII at the same settings.
