Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Description

The Blackstar HT-1RH MkIII is the head-chassis version of the HT-1R MkIII, delivering 1 watt of all-tube power through a 12AX7 preamp tube and ECC82 power tube in a compact head format. Separating amplifier from cabinet allows players to pair it with their own speaker choice. The MkIII revision adds USB audio output, CabRig speaker simulation for silent recording, reverb, and a headphone output. It retains the same circuit and tonal character as the combo counterpart, with cabinet flexibility as the primary differentiator.

The Suhr PT15 I.R. is Pete Thorn's compact 15-watt signature head with a built-in reactive load and impulse-response cabinet simulation for silent direct recording. Two channels cover pristine cleans and a tight, modern rock high gain, and the onboard IR loader and DI make it a complete record-ready rig in a small, portable package.
