Blackstars ISF control acts as a tone translator, sweeping the voicing from tight American high gain when counter-clockwise to mid-rich British character when clockwise. The valve front end gives it warmth, feel, and dynamic response closer to a high-gain amp than a typical solid-state distortion pedal.

The JHS Fumble is a boutique overdrive and distortion pedal from JHS Pedals based on the Marshall Guv'nor circuit, a classic British drive pedal originally designed to replicate Marshall amplifier gain character in pedal form. The Guv'nor circuit produces a warm, tight, low-mid-forward British distortion with good note articulation and a compressed crunch character associated with Marshall-derived sounds.
