Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Boss Katana Artist MkII is a 100-watt Class AB modeling guitar combo amplifier loaded with two Boss G12W Waza loudspeakers designed to replicate vintage Greenback tone with substantially higher power handling. Five core amp characters — Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brown, and Acoustic — each with a Variation mode double the available tonal palette. The Artist MkII adds Presence and Resonance controls, a tube-buffered effects loop, and premium Waza speakers not found on standard Katana models. Five simultaneous effects blocks can be stacked for deep sound design. Boss Tube Logic technology drives the amp modeling for realistic response and dynamics. The Artist MkII is the flagship of the standard Katana series, targeting professional gigging use.

The Line 6 PowerCab 112 Plus is a 250-watt active guitar speaker system with a 12-inch speaker, designed to amplify modelers like the Helix with either a flat full-range response or onboard speaker-driver modeling for an amp-in-the-room feel. With digital control, IR loading, and connectivity, it bridges the gap between an FRFR monitor and a traditional guitar cab for modeling players.
