The Boss Nextone Stage is a 40-watt 1x12 guitar combo amplifier using a hybrid analog-digital design that physically reconfigures its analog output circuitry to emulate the behavior of four different power tube types — EL34, EL84, 6L6, and 6V6. Rather than digital modeling of tube response, the Nextone Stage alters actual analog Class-A/B output stage configuration and the way the preamp and speaker interact with it.
