The Boss OD-200 Hybrid Drive is a multi-mode overdrive and distortion pedal offering twelve selectable drive voicings with a three-band EQ for detailed shaping. Modes range from transparent low-gain grit that preserves a guitars natural sound to tight, aggressive high-gain distortion that stays clear and defined with no muddiness. An X-Drive mode uses Bosss Multi-Dimensional Processing for enhanced string separation, clarity, and dynamic response, and an integrated noise gate keeps the signal quiet. It suits gigging players who need many drive sounds in one box, covering everything from edge-of-breakup to modern high gain, with a slightly denser, harder texture than warmer boutique drives.
The ZVEX Fuzz Probe is the Fuzz Factory circuit fitted with a theremin-style copper antenna plate, letting the player sweep one of its controls hands-free by moving a foot across the pedal's surface. The underlying Fuzz Factory is a germanium fuzz famed for being unstable by design: alongside conventional Volume and Drive it carries Gate, Comp and Stab controls that set the noise gate, starve the circuit's compression and destabilise the bias, producing everything from thick vintage sustain to gated, sputtering, dying-battery splatter and self-oscillating squeals and whistles. The Probe maps that behaviour to the proximity sensor, so oscillation pitch and fuzz character can be bent and swooped in real time.
