Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.38% — somewhat different

The Boss TM-7 is a guitar monitor and practice tool rather than a tone effect, designed for playing along with recorded music. Stereo audio inputs let you mix a CD, cassette or other source with your guitar, while a center canceler feature removes centrally panned vocals and solos so you can play over the backing. It includes a built in guitar amp simulator for direct recording and headphone practice, plus an effects loop for adding reverb, chorus or other Boss effects. Aimed at practicing musicians and home recordists, it functions as a personal monitor, jam along device and simple direct recording front end rather than a stagebox or pedalboard effect.
The DSM and Humboldt Electronics Simplifier is a zero-watt stereo amplifier simulator integrating pedalboard signals to PA systems, audio interfaces, or recording devices. Features three classic preamp sims: AC BRIT (Classic AC30 sound), AMERICAN (Classic blackface deluxe sound), and MS BRIT (Classic vintage Plexi clean-to-crunch). Three speaker cabinet profiles: Black (vintage Eminence blackface), Blue (Blue Alnico), and Green (G12 Greenback). Four simultaneous outputs: 2x XLR and 2x 1/4" bypass-able, headphones out, aux in, stereo effects loop. Power: 9-12V, 50-100mA. Dimensions: 115x65x55mm. Weight 430g.
