Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.35% — somewhat different

The Browne Amplification T4 Fuzz is a four-transistor fuzz pedal designed by Dave Brown to maintain note clarity and midrange presence while retaining the sustain and saturation of the Big Muff Pi topology. The circuit uses a flattened EQ curve compared to a standard Muff for extra midrange content, with the character closest to the Ram's Head version but with a more focused midrange, less low-end murk, and a sweet clarity in the top end. Made in Kansas City, USA.
The Electro-Harmonix Glove OD is an overdrive pedal from EHX based on the IC op-amp Big Muff Pi circuit but voiced and configured for overdrive territory rather than full fuzz saturation. By operating the op-amp Muff circuit at lower gain levels with adjusted component values, the Glove delivers an overdrive character with the harmonic richness and slight compression of the Big Muff topology but without the extreme sustain and fuzz density of the full Muff. It covers clean boost through light overdrive and into moderate saturation, suited to blues, classic rock, and alternative rock applications.
