The Catalinbread Fuzzrite GE is a germanium version of the classic Mosrite Fuzzrite fuzz circuit from Portland, Oregon, capturing the spitty, buzzy, synth-like fuzz character of the 1960s Mosrite design with the warmth of germanium transistors. The Fuzzrite circuit produces a distinctive thin, buzzy fuzz that sits between a traditional silicon fuzz and an octave fuzz, with a characteristic synth-like upper harmonic emphasis. Associated with 1960s psych, garage, and surf sounds. The GE designation indicates the germanium transistor implementation. Made in Portland by Catalinbread.
