Named after the Rangemaster design lineage it references, the Blue Ranger provides the treble cut-and-boost character associated with 1960s British lead guitar tones -- enhancing single notes in the upper register while reducing bass content to focus the amp response. Associated with the tonal approach of Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, and the vintage British amp driving tradition. Made in Denmark.
The Carl Martin PlexiRanger combines the PlexiTone Marshall Plexi emulation circuit with a treble booster in the style of the Dallas Rangemaster and John Hornby Skewes treble booster, allowing both effects to be used independently or together. The treble booster adds the bright, singing harmonic character associated with vintage British lead guitar tones. The combination enables classic Clapton, Page, and Hendrix-era treble boost plus Plexi drive tones in a single unit. Made in Denmark by Carl Martin.
