Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. The Carl Martin Comp/Limiter is a combined compression and limiting pedal providing dynamic control for guitar and bass players. Offers dual-function operation covering soft optical-style compression for sustain enhancement and hard limiting for peak control. Controls include Threshold, Compression, Attack, and Level for precise dynamic shaping. Carl Martin Danish boutique construction ensures reliable signal processing quality. Suited for players who need both compression and hard limiting in a single pedal for studio recording and live performance.
The Universal Audio UAFX 1176 Studio Compressor is a pedalboard-format recreation of the legendary UREI 1176 FET compressor, widely considered the most-recorded compressor in studio history, using Universal Audio's DSP-powered analog modeling to capture its classic fast, punchy, snappy compression character. It suits guitarists and bassists wanting authentic studio-grade 1176 compression, from subtle leveling to aggressive, colored squash, in a compact stompbox rather than a rack unit.
