The NUX Brownie is a compact distortion voiced after classic 1970s British amp breakup, built with a dedicated BJT input gain stage and an asymmetrical clipping circuit. Its hybrid design models the behaviour of vintage amps pairing a preamp with a tube power stage, and it processes bass frequencies differently at high gain to stop the low end turning muddy or flabby.
