Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.35% — somewhat different

The Catalinbread Formula 55 is a Fender 5E3 Tweed Deluxe-inspired overdrive from Portland, Oregon, capturing the warm, saggy, richly compressed character of the small tweed amplifier pushed to its natural saturation point. The 5E3 circuit produces a distinctive bloom and sag on low notes combined with a bright, cutting top end, creating a warm yet lively overdrive character associated with Neil Young, Billy Gibbons, and early American rock and blues. The Formula 55 extracts this specific amp character into a pedal format. Made in Portland by Catalinbread.
The DigiTech DOD Looking Glass is a Dumble amp-inspired boost and overdrive pedal from the DOD lineup, designed in collaboration with a boutique builder to capture the warm, detailed, harmonically rich character of Dumble Steel String Singer amplifiers in an accessible format. Provides transparent boost through warm Dumble-style overdrive with the low-mid weight and natural compression associated with the legendary Dumble circuit. Made by DigiTech DOD.
