The Catalinbread Giygas is a Super Fuzz-inspired fuzz pedal from Portland, Oregon, based on the Univox Super Fuzz circuit that produces the distinctive octave-fuzz character of the late 1960s and 1970s. The Super Fuzz circuit generates both fundamental and octave-up frequencies simultaneously, producing a massive, harmonically complex fuzz with a distinct octave shimmer. Associated with The Who's Pete Townshend and the classic Super Fuzz tones of hard psych and early heavy rock. Named after the RPG villain GIYGAS. Made in Portland by Catalinbread.
