The Ceriatone Dizzy 30 is a point-to-point hand-wired amplifier based on the Matchless DC30, one of the most influential boutique amplifiers of the 1990s. The DC30 circuit uses EL84 output tubes and takes its starting point from the Vox topology, giving a chiming, harmonically rich clean tone that compresses into a raw, jangly overdrive when pushed. It has two distinct channels with different voicings rather than a shared preamp, which is part of what made the original design unusual. The result is bright, cutting and very responsive to pick attack. It suits players working in indie, jangle, blues and classic rock who want British chime with more aggression and grind than a straight Vox reproduction.

The Vox AC30CH Custom is the head version of the AC30, the 30-watt EL84 circuit that produced the British Invasion guitar sound and remains the reference for chime and jangle. As a head it drives an external cabinet, which on an AC30 is a larger change than on most amps given how much of the voice comes from speaker compression. At 30 watts it stays cleaner longer than an AC15 before breaking into the compressed, harmonically dense top end the design is known for.
