Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.76% — very similar

Citation/mention fame — how often this gear is cited across artist rigs and gear discussion. The Ceriatone HRM 50 is a 50-watt point-to-point hand-wired amplifier head built on the His Royal Majesty version of the Dumble Overdrive Special circuit, which adds the later midrange-shaping tone stack to the standard Overtone Special design. That HRM tone stack gives the overdrive channel a more vocal, forward midrange and a wider range of lead voicings than the earlier non-HRM circuit, while the clean channel keeps the full, dimensional character with a broad bottom end and sweet highs. At 50 watts it reaches its sweet spot at more manageable volume than the 100-watt version. It is highly touch sensitive, cleaning up with the guitar volume and blooming under a harder pick attack, and suits blues, fusion and smooth rock lead playing.
The Ceriatone Overtone Special HRM 100 is the 100-watt version of Ceriatone's hand-wired Dumble Overdrive Special clone built with the His Royal Majesty midrange tone stack. The extra power gives a very large, three-dimensional clean channel that stays articulate and punchy at high stage volume, while the HRM overdrive channel produces a forward, vocal midrange and long, singing sustain with strong harmonic detail. Like the rest of the Overtone Special family it is point-to-point wired and strongly touch sensitive, responding to pick attack and guitar volume the way the original circuit does. Its scale suits players working at band and stage volume, particularly blues, fusion and soul lead work where clean headroom matters as much as the lead voice.
