CMAT Mods, founded by Chad Matthews and later developed further with pedal builder Greg Blessing, built the Tremoglo as an all-analog tremolo pedal capturing the warm, smooth pulse found in vintage amplifier tremolo circuits, deliberately avoiding the audible clicking or popping some tremolo designs produce when switching on and off. Beyond standard Depth, Speed, and Level controls, a three-way toggle switches an onboard LED on or off to visually flash in time with the tremolo's speed, or moves to a center position that disengages the tremolo modulation entirely and turns the circuit into a clean boost or preamp instead, giving the pedal genuine dual functionality beyond its tremolo effect alone.
The Cusack Music Tap-A-Whirl V2 is an analog tremolo pedal with built-in tap tempo, 24 preset waveforms, and optional stereo output. The analog audio path produces warm tremolo modulation while the digital tap tempo and waveform selection provide comprehensive control. Version 2 of the Tap-A-Whirl design.
