Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. The Cusack Music Tremolo AME (Amplitude Modulation Emulator) is an analog tremolo pedal offering a preset bank and tap footswitch for a balance between versatility and simplicity. Less experimentative than the Tap-A-Whirl but provides quality-of-life features beyond a basic single-control tremolo. Boutique American construction from Cusack Music. Suited for players who want a straightforward tap tempo tremolo with preset capability without the full 24-waveform range of the Tap-A-Whirl.
The EarthQuaker Devices Hummingbird Repeat Percussions V3 refines the same vintage-modeled choppy, sawtooth tremolo circuit found in the original Hummingbird and V2, adding a third speed setting for more tremolo-rate versatility and switching to top-mounted jacks for improved pedalboard compatibility over V2's side-mounted layout. The underlying tremolo voicing, modeled on the Repeat Percussion units found in old Valco and Vox amps, remains unchanged, still spanning classic shimmering tremolo through to a synthy, delay-like chop character.
