The Rainger FX DFST-1 Stealth Fuzz is a miniaturized version of the brand's legendary Dr. Freakenstein fuzz/distortion circuit, housed in a sleek, aerodynamic black enclosure and originally released as a limited edition of just 240 units. It offers two modes, Envelope and Step, producing extreme, otherworldly fuzz textures ranging from large, modulated chunk and syrupy filtered sustain to step-modulated synth-blast sounds. Envelope mode delivers vocal-like tone stings that dive into Geiger-counter-style crackle or sustain into a resonant howl, with a built-in noise gate keeping everything dead silent between notes.
