Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. The Demon FX SIBLING Analog OTA Phaser is a budget OTA-based analog phaser pedal from the Chinese effects manufacturer Demon FX, delivering classic analog phase shifting tones using an Operational Transconductance Amplifier circuit. OTA phaser designs produce smooth, musical phase sweeps associated with classic 1970s and 1980s phaser sounds. Budget-accessible pricing from Demon FX.
The Fender Waylon Jennings Phaser is an all-analogue phaser built around Fender's original 1970s four-stage phase circuit, developed with the Jennings estate to capture the outlaw country player's stage and studio sound. A three-position switch selects two, four or six phase stages, moving from a gentle, shallow shimmer through the classic thick four-stage swirl to a deep, resonant six-stage sweep. Range, Rate and Feedback controls set sweep width, speed and resonance, with higher feedback sharpening the notches into a vocal, hollow, more pronounced effect. A Sweet switch jumps straight to a favoured blend of clean signal against the phase-shifted tone, keeping the dry attack intact underneath. Reviewers praise it as unusually flexible and interactive for a phaser, and rich-sounding across all three stage settings.
