Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.46% — somewhat different

The DOD Envelope Filter 440 is a classic analog envelope filter and auto-wah pedal originally produced by DOD Electronics in 1977, delivering pick-attack-responsive filter sweeps with Sensitivity and Range controls. The DOD 440 became a widely used auto-wah with players including Jerry Garcia, who used it on the Grateful Dead's recordings. Later reissued under the DigiTech/DOD brand. An important pedal in envelope filter history.
The Pigtronix Resotron is an analog resonant tracking filter from Pigtronix (New York, US), delivering a resonant filter that tracks the pitch of the input guitar signal for dynamic, harmonically-correlated filter effects. The Resotron provides experimental, self-oscillating resonant filter character for experimental, synth-influenced, and avant-garde guitar applications at Pigtronix boutique quality.
