The DigiTech DOD Overdrive Preamp 250X is an updated version of the legendary DOD Overdrive Preamp 250, one of the most historically important and widely cloned overdrive circuits ever made. The 250X adds modern updates -- including true bypass and additional controls -- to the original 1970s transparent, dynamic 250 circuit that defined the early era of dedicated overdrive pedals. The original 250 circuit directly inspired the MXR Distortion Plus and many subsequent overdrive designs. Made by DigiTech DOD.
The Electro-Harmonix Spruce Goose is a Bluesbreaker-style analog overdrive pedal combining the natural, amp-like breakup of the classic Marshall Bluesbreaker circuit with expanded tone shaping and a three-position LIFT switch that progressively increases input gain from transparent clean boost through mild drive to a singing, saturated lead tone. Controls include Level, Drive, Treble, and an active Bass knob that cuts or boosts low frequencies. The relay true bypass footswitch supports both standard latching and momentary hold-for-boost operation.
