The DOD 250 X U is a variant of the legendary DOD 250 Overdrive Preamp, one of the most historically significant and influential overdrive circuits ever produced. The DOD 250 original circuit features a single op-amp overdrive delivering transparent, warm gain with minimal coloration, used by countless blues, rock, and country players as a foundation overdrive or boost. The X U designation indicates a variant or limited-run edition of the core 250 circuit. Known for its simple, effective design, it provides low-to-moderate gain with natural harmonic character. Suited for blues, classic rock, and country players.

The Suhr Eclipse is a dual-channel overdrive and distortion offering two completely independent channels, each with its own Gain, Level and passive three-band EQ, in the manner of a channel-switching amplifier. Into a clean amp that makes it effectively a three-channel rig: one channel covers clean boost through warm bluesy breakup, the other tight, aggressive high-gain lead tones. A Voice control fine-tunes the top-end response to suit the amp being used, taming harshness or adding cut. The overall character is warm, organic and amp-like rather than fizzy, holding note definition even at high gain. Remote FX-link switching allows channel changes from an external controller.
