Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The DigiTech Whammy DT is a compact pitch-shifting pedal offering drop-tuning and harmony effects. Its footswitch control and expression pedal provide hands-on pitch manipulation. The Whammy DT appeals to players seeking versatile pitch-shifting effects.

The Electro-Harmonix Slammi Plus is a polyphonic pitch shifter and harmony pedal combining glitch-free pitch shifting over a plus or minus three-octave range with a built-in treadle for expressive whammy-style sweeps. An 11-position Shift switch selects the interval, from Detune for chorus and doubling through minor and major seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, and one, two, or three octaves. A Dual Mode outputs two pitch-shifted intervals at once for harmonies, and an X-Fade function fixes the interval and crossfades between dry and shifted notes or between two shifted intervals. Tracking is fast and glitch-free even on chords, making it work for guitar, bass, and synth. It functions as a Pitch Fork and expression pedal in one and is often compared favorably to the DigiTech Whammy.
