Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The Dunlop PSF30 Screamadelica Fuzz Face is a limited-edition silicon Fuzz Face Distortion celebrating the 30th anniversary of Primal Scream's landmark 1991 album Screamadelica. It delivers saturated silicon fuzz tones — aggressive, harmonically dense, and suited to the distorted, psychedelic character of early 1990s alternative and electronic-influenced rock. The circular enclosure carries the iconic Screamadelica sun-face artwork. True bypass.

The Rainger FX Razor Fuzz is an unconventional dirt pedal built around a custom analog fuzz circuit paired with a unique virtual plectrum feature that models the sound of different pick materials, including sandpaper and metal picks, layered onto each note's attack. The virtual plectrum offers several selectable sounds, including gated bursts of white noise and randomized pitches, adding a textured, percussive edge to the attack beyond what the fuzz circuit alone provides. The result is a gated, feral fuzz character described as raw but still musical, spitting, snarling, and slicing through the mix rather than sitting as a smooth, conventional fuzz.
