The T-Rex DGTM (Diabolical Gristle Tone Manipulator) is an overdrive from T-Rex's Gristle line, developed with guitarist Greg Koch and voiced for vintage rock rather than modern high gain. Controls are Gristle (gain), Tone and Gravy (volume), plus a Flavor toggle switching voicing between a mildly crunchy, open character and a fatter, more compressed Tube Screamer-like tone. At low gain it gives a lovely clean jangle with barely any breakup; pushed up it becomes a raunchy rhythm crunch or a warm blues overdrive, staying bluesy at maximum rather than reaching heavy distortion.
