Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. The EarthQuaker Devices Arrows is a preamp boost pedal from EQD that adds presence and treble enhancement to the signal, functioning as a always-on sparkle and definition enhancer rather than a conventional clean booster. The Arrows adds a subtle treble uplift and forward presence that brings out the high-frequency harmonic content of guitars without the coloring of a full overdrive stage. It is suited to players who want to add clarity, shimmer, and presence to their tone before hitting a tube amplifier or reaching subsequent gain stages in the chain.
The Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Drive is a streamlined overdrive pedal from Walrus Audio's affordable, no-frills Fundamental line, using simple slider controls for Gain, Tone, and Volume to deliver straightforward, board-ready drive tones. Part of a series built around accessible pricing and intuitive operation, it's aimed at players wanting genuine Walrus Audio tone-shaping quality without the deeper mode-switching complexity of the brand's flagship overdrive pedals.
