The Keeley Halo is Andy Timmons' signature dual echo, recreating the long-secret modulated delay that has shaped his lead tone for decades. It produces a cascading, dancing series of stereo repeats held together with tape-style modulation, saturation, and compression, creating a lush, reverb-like diffusion that stays out of the way of the dry guitar. The signature sound comes from modulated delays subtly drifting in time across the stereo field while leaving the initial note uneffected. Two independent sides, A and B, switchable on the fly, give players two delays in one, covering slapback, stereo chorus, saturated tape echo, and clean digital repeats.
