Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.45% — somewhat different

The EarthQuaker Devices Grand Orbiter V3 carries the same 4-stage OTA-based phaser circuit and Rate/Depth/Sweep/Resonance controls as the original Grand Orbiter, adding a quieter soft switch in place of the original's hard mechanical footswitch, along with EarthQuaker's Flexi-switch bypass technology. Flexi-switch allows standard latching bypass at a tap, or momentary operation by holding the switch down, adding real-time performance flexibility the original lacked. The phaser's tonal character and range, from subtle swirl to intense, resonant sweeping, remain unchanged from the original version.
The Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser is a multi-mode analog phaser offering several distinct sweep voicings in one pedal, from a subtle, shimmering movement to a deep, liquid, vocal swirl. Higher feedback and resonance settings push the phase notch forward for a pronounced, watery character reminiscent of vintage phase circuits, while lower settings add gentle animation that thickens the tone without drawing attention. It is hand-built in New Zealand.
