The EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz V2 is the second version of the Akron, Ohio boutique builder's massive silicon fuzz pedal, designed in collaboration with Wata from Boris as a recreation of her vintage Elk BM Sustainar fuzz. The V2 update refines the original circuit with improved component selection. Like the original, it delivers enormous, heavy distortion and smooth sustain with underlying grit that walks the distortion-fuzz boundary. Essential for doom, drone, noise rock, and heavy psych applications.
The Keeley Loomer is a fuzz and reverb combination pedal inspired by the shoegaze and noise rock tone of bands like My Bloody Valentine, specifically Kevin Shields's combination of heavy fuzz and saturated reverb. The fuzz section delivers dense, harmonically complex fuzz sustain while the reverb section provides lush, saturated reverb decay. The two effects run simultaneously, producing the wall-of-sound quality associated with shoegaze guitar. Named as a tribute to My Bloody Valentine's 1991 album Loveless.
