Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.44% — somewhat different

The EarthQuaker Devices Erupter is a single-knob, fixed-bias germanium transistor fuzz pedal from EQD, designed to deliver a specific, immediately usable vintage fuzz character without user-adjustable controls beyond the Volume knob. The Erupter produces a warm, singing, sustaining fuzz tone with natural compression and harmonic richness associated with vintage germanium fuzz circuits. The fixed bias eliminates the unpredictability of user-adjustable bias controls common to boutique germanium fuzz pedals, delivering a consistent, optimized bias setting chosen during manufacturing. The Erupter suits blues, classic rock, and psych rock players who want authentic germanium warmth without the complexity of multi-knob boutique alternatives.
The Spaceman Effects Sputnik IIB Deluxe Germanium Fuzz is a deluxe variant of Spaceman's flagship germanium fuzz, delivering warm, rich vintage germanium fuzz character with expanded controls and exceptional hand-built quality.
