Blended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. The EarthQuaker Devices LTD Pyramids Stereo Flanging is a limited edition release of the EQD Pyramids stereo flanger, offering eight distinct stereo flanger modes through four independent flanger circuits wired in stereo pairs. Modes cover classic jet flanger through through-zero and experimental stereo flanging. Limited edition cosmetic and packaging distinguishes this from the standard Pyramids production run. EQD Akron, Ohio boutique construction.
The EarthQuaker Devices Pyramids is a stereo flanging device offering eight distinct flange modes via a Mode switch: Classic, Through-Zero, Barber Pole Up, Barber Pole Down, Trigger Up, Trigger Down, Step, and Random, far exceeding the range of a typical single-voicing flanger. A variable mix control and true stereo outputs add further versatility, letting players dial in anything from subtle shimmer to extreme, jet-plane-style sweeps or rhythmic, stepped modulation. Reviewers note the depth of options can make the learning curve steeper than a basic flanger, but the payoff is significantly more tonal range than most flanger pedals offer.
