Similarity
citedBlended from circuit-archetype lineage, dynamic feel, tone-signal overlap and tone-vector distance — the tone vector itself is derived from editorial description text, not a measured acoustic signal, so this reflects how similarly the catalog copy describes the two, not a lab measurement. Shown only within a gear class, and only where there's enough evidence to be meaningful.

Description

The EBS HD802 is an 800-watt class-D solid-state bass amplifier head from EBS Sweden, the professional Scandinavian bass amp manufacturer. The HD802 delivers 800W into 4Ω from a compact head format with a tube-influenced preamp section, parametric and graphic EQ options, built-in compressor, and extensive connectivity including DI output and effects loop. A high-power professional touring tool used by bass players who need reliable, clean amplification for large venue performance.

The Laney Richter RB3 is a 65-watt bass combo in a wedge-shaped kickback cabinet design, loaded with a custom 12-inch driver and horn tweeter, letting players angle the cabinet upward when placed on the floor for better on-stage monitoring. It offers high/normal input gain options, an onboard compressor, 3-band EQ with parametric mid control, an FX loop, AUX input, headphone socket, and XLR DI output, aimed at practice, recording, rehearsal, or small gigs. It's a later-generation successor to the earlier RBW100 in Laney's Richter bass amp lineage, sharing the wedge kickback format but with updated preamp features.
